Dear friends of the Brazilian Retina and Vitreous Society – BRAVS,

It is with great pleasure that, as president of this society, I invite you to our annual congress, which in 2026 will hold an even more special meaning: we will celebrate the 50th edition of the event and the 50th anniversary of the Brazilian Retina and Vitreous Society.

These are five decades of history, dedication, and scientific advancement, bringing together professionals who have transformed – and continue to transform – the practice of ophthalmology in Brazil and around the world. To mark this historic occasion, we will gather in São Paulo, offering a scientific and celebratory program of the highest standard.

We will welcome renowned national and international specialists, presenting the most current and relevant developments in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases. In addition, there will be special moments dedicated to honoring the journey of the SBRV, its founders, leaders, and all those who have contributed to building this solid legacy of excellence.

Our teams and committees are committed to preparing a unique congress that combines scientific updates, high-quality networking, and the celebration of our history.
